Innocence - feat Denise Willams 'Silly'

Innocence

I thought what we had was real? NO ONE can explain the feelings that I feel....I was kiSSed, liCKed, and DISmiissed.

How can what i thought was love lead to this?

Baby my love was true. I never knew that hurt and pain’s definition would be you., and you say you was hurt 2?

Please!

I’m not as stupid as you think.
Did you ever think of me? while u were out doin what u do best?
Jumping into your ex’s bed?
I REALIZED I was too good for you.
Even though love tried to stop me,
I REALIZED I had to go.
I REALIZED we were through.

Dedicated to all the loves of my life.....

Race and Politics; visited upon the Black Church; Is First Amendment in question....

I posted the Drum Major Instinct speech on the Obama08Campaign after the Senator from Illinois made the remarkable speech on Race, only problem is that the Senator forgot to put more emphasis on what lead up to a decision to come to Christ, with the Shepard being Dr./Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/lovleeannwise/gGBFQj

This not the focal point of this blogger, ah but it raises a question on two fronts.. How good is his judgment, if he can opine not to adhere the same doctrine, but come under the covering of this urban Minister of the Gospel. Raises the question, how far have we really come when this becomes the obsession of the mainstream media a 10.7 sec. soundbite of
Dr. Wright speaking about what his experience has been and the prophetic revelation of what has come upon us as a Nation. Not just black people or the black community, because we all have been desolate and focused on private issues to be bothered with this mess! We all caught up in paying high debt, work, family issues.. Stuff that hits us directly to even care about how serious this is. They actually want a black man to denounce all he believes about this man as a person in order to gain approval of the vast majority. Dismissing his call for unity from all races to whom he spoke, even the conservatives raved about how "Historic, Magnificent, even "Brilliant," not since, ever have we heard... and yet, the 1st Amendment attacked and mainstream media outlets have created Dr. Wright whose a hero in the black community and transformed his image into a Monster of sorts..

As a community we have;
Dismissed this incident as ignorance and misunderstanding, but GOD! I suggest we all keep up on current affairs of state here and abroad from now on out, crucial times in our economy. Oil is soaring and everything else is inflating like the ripple effect. If you are concerned as I, then get involved on a local level, or just do what I've done. Write send it to your friends, family, and help in some way to give back. Now is the time to make it plain about where you stand in the scheme of things.. Families have to unite if we can't as a nation to get facts on scholarships for our children, this proposed health care plan these candidates are putting forth. We need to mobilize and get involved in what ever side you fall on be it Independent, or the big Two! It's really our responsibilities to ensure that our children's future is not threatened by research cut out the waste and lets invest in stocks, bonds, Cd's.. not music!Kramer of CNBC's Kudlow and Kramer, recently commented around holiday's how we waste $$ as the average consumer (any race), that we should reconsider buying our children, sneakers [Nike], high priced toys like the X-boxes, and Play stations - but purchase the child a gift that pays dividends [in their name] by investing those $$ in the stock that produces those items - the parent company that produces those i.e., Mattel, Hasbro, etc.., whatever brand name gifts you purchase that cost hundreds of dollars it could pay for a few shares of stock or T Bonds trust account! By the time that stock matures, or TBonds you purchased for that child matures with interest until 17 or 18 years of age it shows dividends by the time college approaches; its a head start no loans needed.. Too many of our children walk across the stage into debt as soon as they graduate from college. It also has tax advantages, shelters...

I mean, we all have a role to play, anything worthwhile is definitely worth the struggle.. How else you gonna appreciate success. I'm tired of the black community not realizing why we

always caught up in these recessions or famines! (We never store up during the 7 years of plenty.... just, being sarcastic now!)
We're at a point in history where we all must wake up and pay attention to all that's going on, Marvin Gaye wrote in "What's Going On", a soulful opera melody in 1969 of a prophetic end we approach. I use to believe that "Save the Children" was directed at my generation from those wildly wonderful days of bliss and drugs; total ignorance during the 70's.... Well, I've lived long enough to understand that it was by no means directed at those times [70's], no it speaks to the right now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More amazing to me was when I read Dr. King's sermon for the third time it struck me how prophetic he was, and probably why he died. For he had found God's purpose for his life and knew clearly what GOD wanted him to do, and all that was left was just to walk it out... His dream, vision has evolved 40 years later we have progressed, but at what cost? When we got here over 400 years ago most Black people were stripped of any acknowledgment of name, tribe, and native languages.
All was lost, most of my relatives don't
know what part of Africa we came from and really don't wanna know.. Although, I plan to visit the continent soon, my American family tree is over 200 years old.
Well, this candidate happens to be a man of color; multiracial but his dad is Kenyan not African American it's a difference. His American experience was in Kansas the state not Kansas City, MO.. [remember Dorothy, click your heels three times off to see the Wizard, Dorothy], well Senator Obama's was from a White middle class perspective, his maternal roots raised him. But, in order for him to get elected he is expected to denounce his church~family heritage in the African American Church, where many people have attended from all walks of life. Your church is supposed to be personal, but again... I'm using my blogger to express it put it out in cyberspace maybe somebody can explain how he can even relate to the experience of what Jeremiah Wright said?
Well, it was probably more entertaining listening to him rant if you couldn't relate to the experience, the black church has always been the focal point of the plight of all Africans during slavery up until this current 21st century. It's a refuge and a teacher, we as a community have felt hatred, and expressed it openly. But, we always open the dialog and accept the blow back, Dr. King died at 39 years old I was eight years old. Today, I'm 47 years old so I remember a time when it wasn't so nice and we didn't have our own beauty products in Grocery stores. Just Lilt.. and Clairol. C'mon we need to really visit this issue, it's important I personally can't say I object to all Dr. Wright had to say, hell, if you watched the Million Man March it's all about frustration not hate. A dismayed and disillusioned culture of children. The biggest consumers in the USA economy, and the most loyal voting block in the Nation no matter whose party you vote with.
Switching signals, the weather conditions across the Nation all over the Midwest Region of this country and Deep South, North, and West Coast fires have drastically caused harm to hundreds of thousands of families; economy issues, i.e., gas, food, even entertainment.. A world in distress, and we using plastic and payday loans to justify the means. We failing to see the direction we are heading, and money matters... They giving us money borrowed from Skiddish bank to Stim-ul-us, [stimulate us]. We not paying attention because we have all become victim to what Dr. King preached February 8, 1968 at Ebenezer, the Drum Major Instinct.......
Well, I'm included in that statistic, but the issue is who is fit to lead, are we really a nation who follows GOD. Do we trust Him?
My assessment is that mother nature is about the best evidence of a GOD, and if the current weather and climactic changes on Earth is any proof of God's will and his love for us. HIS Grace abounds, but disasters are really occurring more frequently here and other parts of the world. I've been watching this Primary Election08, seems as if every time there's been a Primary more Natural weather disasters' since all of this begun. I mean Jesus said his word that they would know HIM and thanks to satellite TV, all of the Earth, nation to nation.
The Gospel was discussed all around the world for the past 3 weeks if you been watching that same soundbite over, and over, and again. Listen to the words and read New Testament, Ephesians- Revelation, you got time. Read or google Dr. Kings speeches in those last few months of his life, he was very adamant about the war, and said some controversial things, about as scary as Jeremiah Wright but without all the anger... and, If you believe John was on the isle of Patmos when those things were revealed as he witnessed in the last Book of the New Testament. Even if you choose not to believe in the written word. Pay attention and research. the year 2012... http://www.viewzone.com/endtime.html
If I can help somebody as I pass along,If I can cheer somebody with a word or song,If I can show somebody he's traveling wrong,Then my living will not be in vain.If I can do my duty as a Christian ought,If I can bring salvation to a world once wrought,If I can spread the message as the master taught,Then my living will not be in vain.
We in some trying times, stay prayed up, loved up, and please do unto others as you would have them do unto you!
Subject: Scholarships
Please circulate!
AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDENTS ARE NOT APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS:
Even if you do not have a college-aged child at home, please share this with someone who does, and to anyone and everyone that comes to mind. Though there are a number of companies and organizations that have donated money for scholarships to African Americans, a great deal of the money is being returned because of a lack of interest or awareness.No one is going to knock on our doors and ask if we can use a scholarship.Take the initiative to get your children involved.!
Money shouldn't be returned to donating companies because we fail to apply for it.Please pass this information on to family members, nieces, nephews, friends with children etc. We must get the word out that money is available. If you are a college student or getting ready to become one, you probably already know how useful additional money can be.
Give The People What They Want . (Ephesians 4:12-13)
  Hebrews 10:24-25
(24) And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, (25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Our fellowship should be a source of encouragement to one another. We should use this time to show love to our brethren and to motivate them to perform acts of kindness and service for others. All of these exhortations show a clear need for us to be part of an organization of God's people. God's Sabbath service is like a weekly training school for Christians. The spiritual food that God's true ministers prepare for us is vitally important for our spiritual growth and development. In discussing the relationship of the ministry to the church member, Paul explains that the ministry is given
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-13)
The interaction that we have with one another when we fellowship at church services helps us to develop the fruit of God's Spirit—love, joypeace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Paul shows that the church is truly Christ's body, and like the human body, each part depends upon the other parts.
We the People Election 2008-2016 This is where I Stand
"One nation under GOD, indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All"
If you just take a look at the Pledge of Allegiance you can see as a Nation we still fall short for we are very divisive according to race, gender, and religion. Technically speaking it's two (2) America's! One for the haves and the other well, is not the have nots but the have need of..........
Watching the debates from incumbents seeking to hold the job of CEO of USA is chilling and humorous at the same time. Listening to how they all would "change" the way Washington Politics are done. Getting more accomplished here in America. Even universal health care system that will potentially make us all sick. Just from the red tape it will bring and penalties for not having it. My take is nobody is sure how we will get out of this current recession. Spending tax rebates is there only solution to date.
But, lets go deeper...............
The mainstream media has declared John McCain the front runner for the Republican Party and their nominee although Huckabee and Mitt Romney both seem to have a better strategy of getting things done to save US economy. Huckabee is a strong candidate because in spite of them stuffing John McCain down the GOP constituency throats and convincing them that he's their man for the job he stated that in a democracy you must have opposing positions in order for "the people" to all feel that they have participated in the process.
The Democratic Party is pulling a totally different stunt in order to get their "establishment selection" a shot at winning the nomination. If McCain can barely win in South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, and the rest and be proclaimed the "Front runner", then WHY is the DNC afraid and mainstream media outlets to proclaim Barack Obama as Democratic as it's Front runner. It took 10 consecutive wins in Key states Potomac Primaries, South Carolina, Iowa, and the like if you look at the numbers statistically without Super Delegates he's still the in the lead for the nomination. But, loyalty to previous Administration "The Clinton's" has prevented this historical debut of what everyone is feeling. Barack Obama is the peoples choice overwhelmingly and he's winning the hearts and minds of ALL Americans not just the so called "Black vote," Obama managed to run a good campaign without any scandals or people being fired or resigning. He has managed his campaign funds which is a good indication of the kind of leadership he can bring to the US and abroad.
He has proven based on his qualifications alone the ability to lead, being mulatto gives him the ability to see the world from a whole different pair of eyes, uniquely he has what it takes to UNITE this country whose main theme is hung on "with liberty and Justice for ALL," and "O say does that star spangled banner yet wave?"
Not for the Middle class and Impoverished people. America is home for all Nations and Nationalities but we have not evolved as a people enough to stop hatred, hunger, and basic neglect of our country. Our children of the 21st Century also have different pair of eyes. We need a fresh and new approach to the way we do business here in our Nation. If we really are a land of Christians we need to ask ourselves are we Christ-like as a people. To often you see polls about women over 50, White men under 30, Black Men under 25 death toll, and Latino who are here illegally. We categorize and compartmentalize way too much and never do we research our information being feed to us via various media outlets, but now we have the Internet which allows the whole world to see. IF we are the example of what a Nations is supposed to be like, how it's suppose to look. We have failed we aren't looking so great.
We do have a chance to become a more powerful Nation if we can UNITE as it is written in biblical scripture, "a house divided against itself shall not stand." Our Nation has to put a end to bigotry against race, religion America is where you have the Freedom to believe and practice any religion. We need to have more open forums and town halls to discuss these issues and work on a solution collectively. White have to open up to the idea that all are supreme beings made by GOD as you see HIM and understand HIM to be. Stop being a silent racist open your circle of friends to include people other than your race. Don't let fear prevent you from being a blessing or receiving one.
Muslims are being stereotype and we fear or become skeptical about anyone whose religion is Muslim. WHY?
Look, when you live in a glass house you can't throw no stones.
If a man can call himself a GOD fearing Christian blood washed holy and sanctified and believes in the right to life and has so much passion about it that they it moves them to go out in protest and blow up a clinic with expectant mothers in the name of GOD or a Tim McVeigh who blows up a building in broad daylight that housed a Daycare Center in the name of Waco and Ruby Ridge didn't make our friends abroad scared of those radical extremist Christians.
What if the world turned against Christianity?
Already you have people who want to change how we practice our faith at Christmas, and Pledge of Allegiance they want to take GOD out of everything. Gays and Lesbians now have the right to marry.
We all get on our high horses and want to pass judgment on people who are different or look different from us.
Bottom line, we are all guilty of silent bigotry. But, when you hear politicians say but their are some good Muslims who aren't radicals. Well, you can say that about any number of groups from all persuasions.
Why?  Or is the question; How do we learn from our past mistakes and embrace this change? My answer is simple we have got start with our thinking to become indivisible .
I have friends from different towns, cities, parts of the world who call themselves Americans and are good and decent individuals. As expected we do have different beliefs culturally speaking from mine but it makes our friendship that much richer because we are sharing experiences and growing up together.
Finally, too many people died for our right to Vote, people lets take up our places and UNITE. We are a family, you never get to choose family just gotta love em! But you can choose your friends and how you look at life think positively about embracing change. Remember no change comes without sacrifice and struggle.
Each one teach one!
Books: 'Divided America'
Divided America» Links to this discussion
Earl BlackCo-Author, "Divided America" Thursday, February 21, 2008; 12:00 PM
Earl Black was online Thursday, Feb. 21 at noon ET to take your questions on his book "Divided America: The Ferocious Power Struggle in American Politics" -- coming out in paperback March 25 -- and why no matter who wins the Democratic primary, the prospects of a general election landslide for either party are slim.
Black is a professor of political science at Rice University. He has written several books with his brother, Emory University government and politics professor Merle Black, about the transformation of Southern politics.
____________________
Earl Black: Good afternoon. This is Earl Black, co-author with my brother Merle Black of Divided America: The Ferocious Power Struggle in American Politics. Simon & Schuster will publish the paperback edition of this book next month.
_______________________
Harrisburg, Pa.: I understand and agree with you that politically Americans are very divided. What happens if the voters are divided even further, meaning that a "leftist" candidate (such as a Nader) and/or "rightist" candidate (such as a Ron Paul or a Tancredo) further divide this divided population? Who is more vulnerable to being divided further, the Democrats or the Republicans?
Earl Black: Divided America shows that the national party battle is the product of two competitive minority parties. Neither party can win national elections simply by uniting their partisans and turning them out. Many of the 50 states are generally safe for one of the major parties. Democrats rely on tremendous support in the Northeast and Pacific Coast, and Republicans rely on tremendous support in the South and Mountains/Plains. But these regional strongholds don't add up to national majorities. The Midwest is the nation's swing region, and Ohio would be the most important swing state in the Midwest.
Splinter candidacies (right or left) might be very important in a few states where the party balance is very competitive. Nader's campaign in Florida in 2000 might well have taken enough votes from the Democrats to affect the outcome. In most states, one party usually has a large enough advantage to win despite third parties.
_______________________
Laurel, Md.: When I was growing up, the Senate included a few liberal Republicans like Charles Matthias, Lowell Weicker and Jacob Javitts, and some conservative Southern Democrats. In my opinion, this allowed a certain breadth to the political process because every issue wasn't necessarily both ideological and partisan. There was a measure of the spectrum a couple of years ago that determined that it has become almost one-dimensional. Robert Byrd (closest thing to an old-fashioned Southern Democrat anymore) and Lincoln Chaffee were the outliers that roughly defined the second dimension. Does the fact that the parties have little internal breadth make compromises more difficult?
Earl Black: As we show in Divided America, both parties today are much more ideologically pure than before. Conservative southern Democrats are a good example. That was the dominant pattern before the civil rights revolution and the Reagan realignment of the 1980. But no conservative southern Democrats could win a Democratic primary today. Similarly important shifts have made it very difficult to nominate moderate to liberal Republicans across the country. The consequence is very stark partisan and ideological differences in which many elected officials in national politics spend much time responding to the latest partisan outrage. As you point out, this ideological purity in Congress really does make compromises more difficult.
