Well, it seems once again we have reached another standoff with Senate blocking the vote for minimum wage increase.  Supreme Courts recent ruling to reverse Affirmative Action policies in education.  A few of our upstanding citizens regressed back in time to call Black Americans "Negros" now that was refreshing...but what got me to laugh at that was when he said so earnestly he wasn't a bigot I'm not a racist.  He talked about the older ones sitting on the porch and the young folks don't have nothing to do!  They never learned how to pick Cotton.  Fast forward we get a Billionaire citizen who doesn't want to rent to minorities or likes how we smell interesting no comments out loud anyway.  How does this all happen in less than 15 days.  World stage is also being challenged and the Bible is a Blueprint more about how to live without repeating the same mistakes that destroyed Ancient Civilizations... But Man has fallen so low his eyes are wide shut.

Many people were elated, overwhelmed with joy because some Americans couldn't even imagine that happening. Progress, most said that was the end of racism in America. Then there was a backroom meeting-plotted behind closed doors because others viewed his ascent to the Highest Office as "What is the WORLD Coming too.." A Black Man in the Whitehouse, Donald Trump Birtherism and Alex Jones Conspiracy of a "Deep State" Glen Beck, Laura Ingram, Dobbs, all of the fringe right T-Party who became Freedom Caucus! Deficit Hawks, SCOTUS anti-abortion, right leaning Judges were demanded. The best was Obama is coming to take your Gun rights away. He should have done that one.

Well, down the escalater came their "Savior" of the Superior Race Donald J Trump as he announced his candidacy he called Mexicans murderers, rapist, illegal immigrants. Not undocumented. He pledged to deliver them Anti-Abortion judges and Mitch McConnell obliged! He blocked every Judge, SCOTUS nomination of Merrick Garland was illegally denied by Senate Majority Leader, as this blog post edit he has confirmed 400 or more now we have a RIGHT WING take over of Bigotry, a Hateful Constituents who would kill people to have their Superiority preserved. Disguised as "Freedom" that's mind control.

America is losing her way She use to want to become a better nation  but many of the laws Republicans are fighting to pass will hurt many millions of working class and minority groups which includes single Mothers and single Women that group is a powerful voting block consist of all minorities including white females these Americans are also earning but have low to middle class status and Women do make up about  2/3rds majority of low wage workers. Take a minute and then read this again.  I'm not telling you to be afraid of the end of ages passage, but I am telling you that it's very coincidental that much of these things we read about has somehow become a reality. Just pull up the worse news in the last 13 years; what was that kid's name who killed his mother Adam then went to Sandy hook and killed innocent mostly children but people. I'm not making this up there is no conspiracy just facts; weather ice caps are melting and I had my first earthquake experience and it was in VA not LA! okay..  So all this technology has made us all relax we hardly even hold conversations anymore.  So you are officially in the movie "The Matrix" if you like that sorta thang or Captain Kirk.  Seriously though, art does imitate life in a bizarre kind of way. Remember Fantasy Island that's where most of us American citizens reside "the plane, the plane" it's almost funny but to sad to laugh about.

Why does our American military have to lead every fight? What's wrong with diplomacy if it will spare our economy from collapse and keep our children from dying to make 1% percent of the world even more richer?  Captain America is a cartoon folks we are not really superheros neither is our current President or past Presidents who precede him; what profit is in war because the average citizen felt nothing but crisis after crisis here at home no jobs backlogs of veteran claims promises not kept from the last two war theatre's in Iraq and Afghanistan,anyway we are still suffering as a nation from those disasters with nothing to show for all the blood shed by our sons AND daughters who are now permanently wounded mentally and physically or they actually died for democracy unfulfilled because War is a business very profitable. Better then teaching them how to pick Cotton!

SCOTUS decisions that read like a Pleasantville Hollywood movie script from the early or late 60s a ruling full of delusions about progress with race relations and the weigh that up against the relativity of impoverished people who once were held in bondage didn't immigrate but forced here to become slaves only to live in economic climate where they're were opportunity given and snatched back consistently for years. You hand us a stacked deck tell us to compete for jobs that you ship overseas to folks more hungry than my fellow citizens who work for $1 or $2 an hour without regulations to protect them. Fortune 500 using the "OffShore Banks where there exempt per regulation repatriate funds for Stock By Backs. Hedge Funds, and Major Stock holders increase their dividends...

The decision ignores real facts of life about "Our Nation" and displays to the public especially black America feels regression instead of progression with the way we regard our poor and middle class citizens of all races. That reflects those of old empires, kingdoms or nations who crush their citizens in poverty but while they live in Castles. In real time while we beg for work, medicine, and a safety net in case the climate changes we've experienced or the economy fails.What happened to us, did we not learn anything from the last Century? 

Five decades ago they passed a law after 200 years after Emancipation, Jim Crow, and means testing in order to qualify to vote Activists who put it all on the line died;Medgar Evers, MLKJ, Malcolm Shabazz,;in retaliation SNIC split Eldridge Clever, Assasta, Stokely Carmichael, all living as exiled from America Bobby Seale (Chairman) and Huey Newton (Minister of Defense) in October 1966 Black Panthers movement got destroyed under a Federal Bureau of Investigations "Cointel-Pro" to intentional surveille our leaders who were cut down by crazy asassins.voting rights now SCOTUS reversed;African American Community so PC now they get angry about comments being made about if a prostitute can't go out in public with black guys behind her rich NBA owner's bigoted billionaire's back.  Get real grow up that fiasco don't resolve the real issues facing Black people who helped build this nation.

Our President is blocked on every side when he sends legislation to implement his policies they always seem to get staggered by the Republicans who've moved to the farthest right conservative ideology; well, in a minute they will reclaim Ku Klux Klan ideologies the sentiments lately appear to be making a comeback. I mean to say that train of thought is seeping out slowly into white culture to create resentment against blacks and Hispanics is being stoked by the wealthiest people who obviously don't mind "sleeping" with them but just don't be socializing openly with them. It appears to working in the Heartland and deep southern states 26 rejected the medicare expansion that could save alot of people all races once again!  **The powerful Gun Control Lobbyist; blocked Sandy hook parents, Virginia College students, and today Oregon Community college. Terrorist are not a threat to the American citizen as much as the American Citizen's are a threat to themselves. What sensible terrorist would even dare to try us on our soil because USA has become the most violent Nation of people on the planet.

How can they argue about illegal or undocumented migrants who are not responsible for the level of violence brought about in this nation nor is it totally at the feet of the mentally impaired.  The problem is that in conjunction with not having a way to track Visa's given to foreigners after they've expired it's even worse to have a high volume of weapons some artillery equals what law enforcement and the National Guard even the US Military are owned by ordinary citizens hiding behind their 2nd Amendment rights.  Has National Rifle Association protecting and promoting these violent tendencies.**

We accept that behavior now as a "Normal way of Life"  in Tombstone Wyatt Earp confiscated all weapons upon arrival. So this NRA 2nd Amendment needs amending.

Times have changed but not that much and each time Black race (African Americans) moves one foot forward we get kicked back 10 paces.  SMH, just think 1st time in over 238+ years since this country's  Independence  we now have a man of color in the White House but still he gets no respect and is judged by the far right as "other" "weak on foreign affairs," but he got Bin Laden??  Just Makes no sense to me how he's viewed as weak ...but money can buy you air time and pay broadcast media to repeat the same lie over and over and over again until you believe it's true.  Now it's a commercial out focused on middle class working class people if you raise the minimum wage it'll cost millions of jobs I say that's some BULL~PUCKY as one of my favorite analysts always like to say.  Jobs generate revenue & profit ( Economics 101 Supply and Demand.  See your tax dollars weren't wasted)! A job that pays well allows people to work their way out of poverty.  Voter ID laws for what they need to check the Koch Brothers pull their cards for tampering with US elections that's voter fraud backing people that go to Capital Hill to push their agendas obstructionist at best; and yet the Koch family isn't the only Billionaires out to control how you vote against your interest. NRA doesn't focus Gun's for sport anymore a hunting we will go left the building when Dick Cheney shot his friend but they tell you to combat authority turn on your government they're gonna take your guns away and you believe that nonsense.  But when a tornado's and floods tear through an entire state or community who gonna call "Ghostbusters or Obama? FEMA to the rescue!  Did you know that food stamps SNAP feeds alot of our  military families not just surfers and young black women who like crab legs and shrimps.  Paul Ryan budget proposal is a joke go to CSPAN and research what you paying those people to do  and STOP listening to people Rush Limbaugh, Hannity the circus at FOX news, and Glen Beck who convince you to vote against your own interest.  

WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME GOODSHIP "Lollipop" and it's about to make YOU the average hard working American work for less wages than what your truly worth. War = lives lost or wounded but profits only a few like Haliburton and all of the other  Wealthy investors of industrial War complex and politics we talk en in the Trillions now.  Eisenhower warned us about these clowns a very, very long time ago before I was born.  JFK also knew  these Men too, their mission in life MONEY = POWER if I ruled the world mentality these people are  dangerous bedfellows who manipulate your mind through TV print media and too much information only causes confusion. Who likes confusion more then anything else GOD ever created in this Universe to confound your thoughts steal your soul????? We wrestle with powers and principalities of this World that's why you all should practice prayer and mediate or chant whatever you do try to channel your positive energy everyday. Currency is pulling us down.

Before you decide to hate on another person, group, or country; If the truth would be translated all around the world the reason folks done took to the streets to fight and complain about their perspective government is because no jobs, no money, and they are worse now then ever before.

Yet Donald Trump believes people should Worship profess "Loyalty" to him, and if you make any claims or prove he's a liar and a criminal. He's not Fit to run a Poodle Parlor. Trumps Supporters are confused, angry, most of bigoted.

Attorney General is at his beck and call wrote a love letter to him saying "Executive has Absolute Power" which is totally unconstitutional.

Coronavirus Pandemic isn't going away, nope TRUMP CAN"T FIX THIS with a stacked SCOTUS or by a Majority Vote in the Senate. Karma is catching up with him now.

An Essay EMBRACING CHANGE CONFRONTING THE FEAR of LIVING & BEYOND

 Original date: Monday, December 12, 2005

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" 

(2 Tim. 1:7)

 Thought: Fear knocked at the door Faith answered. No one was there. 

 Many years ago I listened as a friend of mine shared in a anonymous meeting he was very articulate and said that prior to getting clean the one thing he feared most was change, but being a man meant standing perpendicular before GOD and when he had made a decision to turn his will and life over to the care of GOD that replaced all of his fear. Then he said something that most people don't say in those closed meetings instead using the term "God of my understanding" or "Higher Power" he said the name of Jesus Christ. The room was quiet as he spoke loudly and bold and later those comments were made people refer to him as a spiritual giant he begged to differ by responding to them by simply saying "I'm no spiritual giant but there is a GIANT in my spirit."

That takes a lot of courage for anyone to admit to have any fears at all publicly, but many of us do. We often become complacent or get comfortable with our lives then don't realize that when we aren't challenging ourselves often we become stale, stagnate, and we stunt our growth. It's like eating the same thing for dinner every other day because it's routine quick and easy then on Saturday you treat yourself to fast food at McDonald's at the same spot order the same thing and every time it tastes good until one day it loses the appeal and taste. Another analogy would be to wear the same hairstyle everyday for a period of time never change the way you comb it even part your hair the same place. The hair style that used to get compliments somehow appears dull and played out.

Change comes often and people evolve just as quickly as the seasons change. We work hard at perfecting a routine with our friends, lovers, or spouses only to look up one day and find that they have drifted off in another direction and many times instead of accepting the fact we either run or walk quickly in the opposite direction because we lose the stamina to embrace them where they are at and the same thing holds true when we experience changes in our lives a need to shift gears or do something different to improve ourselves. We can also shift into reverse gear and do some things that destroy our character and ruin relationships.

But one thing that is constant in change, if nothing changes, nothing changes. As the saying goes where ever you go there you are. So you can't be afraid of what we understand or don't understand in life or death, sometimes it has no explanation. So many of us are never prepared financially, mentally, or spiritually and the end result is devastation.

When we are young their is a feeling that we will live forever or are invincible, can leap tall buildings in a single bound. As we mature and experience life we get some hard knocks and realize that some of those buildings just a tad to steep to leap across. That's when we become more practical in some cases people just ignore the facts. Some die young or live miserably because they foolishly believe they can trick life and end up the trick. Pay now or pay later the bill is always in the mail and one day you have to pay. So if you living in a comfort zone, maybe it's time to raise the bar a little, you can always become better - strive for change. Remain teachable, humble, and lovable. Don't be afraid to embrace change - because if you living a fruitful life you can surely count on an eternal peace when you exit the building (your body) a living temple.

We never know what God's plan is for us - remember that it's okay to make the plans but you can never plan the outcome.

Faith and hope is your best weapon to overcoming fear. Prayer is your insurance policy. Love is unconditional keep an open heart and willing mind. Even when it seems like your down you might be down but not out. Like my friend said look straight up stand perpendicular to GOD. Fear not. As Human beings we fall short and have many shortcomings but GOD has never failed or come up short. Fact we can count on the sunrise and sunset. Fact we know that there is a moon and will always come out in a way shape or form. We know that the seasons will change and we always prepare for those changes. Just like us we go through many seasons in life, but If we can trust GOD to do all of that, we can trust Him with our own changes that affect our lives today. Just for today, we can hope for a tomorrow and plan ahead. But no matter how it all turns out we embrace it with humility without beating our chest in vain glory.

Our faith shows us what we cannot see.

An idea begins with a thought and then is brought forward into reality. An artist sees the painting in his mind before it ever touches the canvas. He touches the canvas until what was inside of his mind sets before him and the passion makes him more eager to bring it forth. Imagination is just an image in our mind we decide when begin - to make it a reality. Most of us go to bed at night convinced that surely they are waking up in the morning and that's okay too. That's called having faith.

Faith without works is dead being alone - change should not be feared but reverenced. It takes courage to color outside the lines step outside the box- change is an inside job with you the individual and often has a ripple effect on others. If Beyonce wakes up in the morning and decided to go short, blond, and curly. Just by changing her mind she will influence females to go blonder, short, and curly too because it looks so good on her, they are convinced that look surely will look good on me too.

Change allows you the luxury of knowing who really is for you and whoever stays around to see that person evolve til the end are the ones you come to love and trust. These are the people who are not afraid to be honest with you right or wrong, good or bad. They are your mirror, mirror on the wall. Always have one friend that won't lie to you even when it hurts and you can be reciprocal in love, spirits, and truth. Nine times out of ten this is the person you probably have even taken for granted along the way. Embracing Change brings you face to face with love, love of self, life, and GOD.

OH LORD PLEASE DON'T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD

MISUNDERSTOOD

We are born and come into the world innocent naked hoping we get a great set of parents carnal being dealt a hand only to be met with a life uniquely designed for us aligned with a bigger plan in mind.

Momma seemed to understand set me on the right path during adolescence was a cakewalk, puberty I woke up misunderstood. Being the only girl, struggling to fit in outside their world.

So I grow, learning to communicate one word, then a thought, until I can stand alone with adulthood issues to problem solve without Mommas help.

Misunderstood

Given the values of a Queen to run any “Kingdome”, coached by many mentors who taught the laws of the sacred Golden rules attended Sunday school; participated in Tom Thumb weddings being prepared to become a wife to fear and love the Lord seeing me as “The Bride” walking hand hand down the aisle. Disillusioned, I misunderstood the facts of life.

Misunderstood..

Barbe & Ken dolls, Doo Wop songs, Temptations, Ojays, Luther, and the like, Main Ingredient kept me Spinning around with high expectations compromised more than once or twice.

Surviving humiliations

With my head held high, seeking my guidance headed east pass Jupiter for the only one who truly does get me, truly loves me exactly as I am.

 He understands.

Before I began to compose this, suddenly, in my solitude I hear Smokey Norvel ministering from the radio then at once to my inner voice leaping inside to the song, “I Understand,”  it seemed appropriate cause you can’t choose your family, not even your lifetime partner or that handful of friends; maybe?

Who may never get who you really are that sometimes take you for granted as you evolve onward towards a magnificient journey that God has laid out just for you to follow no explanation given we struggle for answers rarely do we understand. We end up growing in truth and love as we learn how to serve our fellow Man in one-way shape or form. Whether life feels routine somewhat self righteous with little or no major ups and downs. Give him Honour, and honour those who teach you,

For I can’t satisfy my own soul, my plight is solo some days I don’t fathom why God moves in his ways I end the day in prayer , getting through the mine fields each day achieving the Victory seems astounding“Thank You Lord Yeah tho I walk through the valley of the Shadow of death”! At times being persecuted by the world when it doesn’t matter if I’m minding my own business or just standing firm when controversy twists and distorts the direction of life that causes fingers to point, loud whispers, or even laughs life maybe hard but it's fair!

My mind remembering that what don’t kill you sometimes criticism hard as it seem can make you strong. Don’t be like Lot’s wife it symbol, Old Testament “she turned into a pilar of salt, New Testament describes it as being sifted as wheat”

Isaiah's Message
Isaiah Chapter 1 : 16¹ The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

Based upon the above text the Children of Israel were in alot of trouble, I always like that there is nothing new under the sun.  But to go a little deeper, "if nothing changes, Nothing Changes.  

Fast forward we are now living in 21st century dealing with zenith speed in technology and have evolved that if you were to read the above text you'd think the author Isaiah was describing this century.  I enjoy reviewing and posting archives of older posts from Empowering Spirits but lately its been a tug at my heart torn to deliver a word that's really not mine.  I'm not claiming vision or even that GOD whispered in my ear.  Can't even describe what this is exactly so I'll just give GOD the great IAM all the Glory take nothing for myself.

The politics, the people, the music, the movies and television seem to reflect a whole different world from the one I grew up in and alot of us "Boomers" I'm a late boomer born in the 60's are catching our breath just to keep up which brings me to my current condition my profession is now as contractor and previously a civil service government employee I've tried to reinvent myself as times changed so I've always been sort of nosey and tech savvy.  Always wanted to rise above my peers on my level not yours. See my journey has brought me closer due to circumstances all beyond my control to my inner spiritual being and connected me directly to the source.  I'm not a minister not really interested in that field but I am interested in what the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth has planted inside of me, a vision to interpret and see the world as it relates to that Book.

So I really was wrestling with this blog because I'm just gonna type and let it all flow, then when I read it for edit and my editing skills are very mediocre cause I'm not a journalist either I majored in Sociolgy with an eye on pre-med when I found out the math was involved and cadavers changed my whole life went in a direction opposite of that didn't finish college and had scholarships but I was very sharp in my thinking and Richard Nixon did more for our black community with the CETA programs backed by federal dollars gave alot of us a leg up even our community leaders who sponsored these summer/winter jobs programs for youth in the inner cities you could get a work permit at 14 and have enough summer pay to buy clothes and shoes for fall or you save it pay your parents cause my mother always made me give her something.  Contribute to the family.  We've lost that in our homes and here in our Nation.

America is great we have evolved over time but not atoned for there is so much harm that has been swept up under the Constitutional rug.  I just feel so compelled can't knock this nation either because I love my country and know no other, yet my curiosty caused me to do some research and what I discovered about myself, my family, and then overall community was from the time our ancestors got to this continent up til now, we never left most of us don't even know who we really are.  It struck me because alot of urban blacks can't afford the best of anything we have HMO's not private doctors once upon a time we did but not in the 21st century they use to come to your home and if your parents didn't have all the money it was okay RIP Dr. Robinson, and you trusted him he trusted you the family paid the bill.  But unless you were bleeding or couldn't breath like me I had ashthma you had the home remedies.  Things have changed but nothing changed let me dig deeper so you don't think I'm rambling.  If you compare our plight as a race with other immigrants who were invited to come and how well they weren't received America always made you work hard for your dreams but if you had some advantages it was somewhat easier vs. slaves who didn't migrate but were brought here from the distance in ships stacked upon one another it struck me that I can't smell my own underarms when I'm musty what must've been their experience yet 200+years later their children, children, children, children don't even know who they are.  

When you don't know who you are you tend to identify or adapt to the environment take on the languages accents and ways of the natives funny things I found out that Africans were coming here years before Columbus trading with the Native Americans and had settled here with them Cherokee tribe South and West Indians are proof of that.  Yet the slaves struggled to pioneer without any assistance from their masters after they were freed they opened up the boarder and allowed Europeans more access which disallowed the freemasons who were skilled and black from being hired and they couldn't earn a decent wage so it was easier to be a servant and get paid if you got paid.  Cause you have to understand they existed many, many years in the 18th and 19th Century without any human rights.  I am one of those children, and I don't know who I am what tribe and tongue colors that represent my family or Africans have family Crest and tribal dynasties yet I can't relate to any of that.  One of my friends who was from Liberia laughed at one day because I was wearing a afrocentric sweater it was beautiful she said "what tribe does those colors belong too", I said huh? She laughed out loud and said you black americans really don't know nothing about who you are then she told me those colors belong to a tribe in Africa she thought I knew.  In other words, she was testing me.

Now we read above about the Children of Israel well through time man has grossly lied about the true Children of Israel Hebrews but it's okay cause we still all related at the end of the day but I noticed that the darker children on this earth have always suffered at the hand of some regime or government do your research like I did if you feel something about this blog.  Because this is basically how I'm gonna pause cause it's always more to come, in 1938 Adolf Hitler who was a monster and beast killed alot of Jewish people the Holocaust was horriffic no words to describe it was unhuman to say the least and I believe each culture has suffered and GOD who loves us all seen all of that and put favor on America to as King David with a small but mighty we stood up against that monster and won but to atone for all they had suffered UN was established and settlement was built to repatriat them to Israel which is they're homeland except it's not, not really but they are converted and loyal to their faith as were the Children of Israel who were forced out Temple was destroyed all that's left now in 21st century is the waling wall where the Rabi's pray.  But accommodations were made alot of them from Germany had already come over to the "New World" and did movies and films, scientist, authors, philosophers like Dr. Freud.  We owe alot of the great things about our country to their creativity and vision of America but to save time I'll just make my point.  African Americans who were grossly mistreated and maybe not in the methods Adolf Hitler used but to be stripped of your heritage, your native tongue, not be allowed to read and write, eating scrapes pig feet chitterlings, neckbones and watching the master take liberties with a mans wife or even the master wife wanted the stud it happened did you see Roots and that was just one mans story.  12 years a slave was one mans story well it was millions of us here during 18 and 19th centuries who don't know who we are so our last names became whoever owned us.  Think about that and when jewish people came they changed their names so anglos wouldn't discriminate against them they happened to be one cut above us in regard to position in life here in America, they were disrespected and hated too but they had one option a right to duel citizenship and to go to Israel if they wanted Black people don't know where to go they never ever offered to get the Continent of Africa to even designate a piece of land for African Americans you have to spend thousands of dollars just to find out what tribe you belong too and even then it's inconclusive.  So all that being said why is it that we've ALL RACES become resentful and entitled?  Why 

- Corinthians 13:4-7

This is a description of Agape Love. It is described as being patient, kind, truthful, unselfish, trusting, believing, hopeful, and enduring. It is not jealous, boastful, arrogant, rude, selfish, or angry. True love never fails. The description perfectly fits God's love toward us, and should be the way we love each other and God. However, I have never met any person who perfectly fulfills this biblical definition of love. The Bible says that this unconditional love is more important than everything else (a partial list includes oratory ability, prophecy, knowledge, faith, philanthropy and hope). All of these things, which are "good" things, will pass away. Only love is eternal, since love will be the basis of eternal life. In fact, when Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He said, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND." (Matthew 22:37)10 He then added that the second most important law was "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." Jesus said that the entire law was dependent upon these two commandments

The most famous biblical chapter on love is from 1 Corinthians:

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)
